SG Omar Wattad: Leaving Georgetown after 2 years

Georgetown University announced Wednesday that 6-foot-5, 225-pound sophomore wing Omar Wattad will transfer. He averaged 11.1 minutes in 25 games with a 2.6 ppg, 1.4 rpg and 0.6 apg mark this season.

Wattad was a two time all-state selection at Science Hill in Johnson City, Tenn. where he holds the record as all-time leading scorer with 2,191 points.

Before selecting the Hoyas, Wattad had also been recruited by Arizona State, Chattanooga, George Mason, George Washington, Massachusetts, Southern Illinois, UNC-Wilmington, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.
