Syracuse loses four coaches to Bills

The Syracuse staff continues to change from the end of the 2012 season as four more have left to join Doug Marrone with the Buffalo Bills.

The Buffalo Bills annnounced the rest of their staff under new head coach Doug Marrone on Tuesday. That staff included four former Syracuse coaches that Scott Shafer will have to replace.

Tyrone Wheatley will be the running backs coach for the Bills, leaving the same position with the Orange.

Greg Adkins leaves an opening as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator. He will coach the tight ends in Buffalo.

Donnie Henderson will coach the defensive backs in Buffalo, the same position he held at Syracuse.

Jason Rebrovich was a defensive assistant for the Orange for the past two seasons. He will be the defensive quality control coach with the Bills.

The loss of quality coaches is a bit of a blow for Syracuse, and they will look to continue to round out their staff. Adkins as recruiting coordinator is the biggest hit. It is unclear who will take over that role at this time.

In total, Marrone has taken five members of the Syracuse football staff with him to the Bills, leaving the Orange with six vacancies, some filled, others yet to be taken.

"I'm excited to announce the newest members of the Buffalo Bills coaching staff," Marrone expressed. "When I began the hiring process for our staff, I sought after individuals that had a strong work ethic, passion for the game of football and experience which are all qualities demonstrated in each of our new hires."

Overall, Marrone has added 12 new faces with his to the Bills' staff for the upcoming 2013-14 season.
