Finishing Strong in Farewell

The Orange, charter members of the Big East Conference, spend their final four quarters in the conference putting together a win.

Syracuse Orange cornerback Keon Lyn ended the team's match with the Temple Owls the same way he ended the contest versus the Missouri Tigers, with an interception.

Lyn had two picks in the game, taking his first into the Owls' nest for his first career touchdown.

Down 10-0 early, the Orange put their trust in the run and the run proved trustworthy. Syracuse ran the ball 47 times for a total of 258 yards. Jerome Smith achieved 96 yards and Prince-Tyson Gulley attained 83. Adonis Ameen-Moore rushed for 57 yards, surpassing his entire season total of 51 yards coming into this match-up.

Three of Syracuse's four offensive touchdowns came on the ground as the Orange remained above .500.

Smith and teammate, wide receiver Alec Lemon, surpass 1,000 yards in a season for the first time in their careers, Smith on the ground and Lemon on the receiving end.

Already bowl eligible coming into the game, Syracuse improves to 7-5, leaving the Big East Conference with a victory, taking down Temple, 38-20.
