Balanced scoring helps USF rout Bradley 82-63

Four differnt Bulls scored in the double digits scoring in new motion offense leading to the 82-63 rout of Bradley.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Victor Rudd scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, helping South Florida to an 82-63 victory against Bradley on Tuesday night.

Toarlyn Fitzpatrick led all scorers with 16 points for South Florida (3-2). Shaun Noriega added 14 points and Kore White finished with 11 for the Bulls, playing their fourth home game in five nights.

"We put in a new motion offense," Fitzpatrick said. "We were getting the ball, moving it from side to side, setting ball screens. That helped us out a lot. It made us look a lot more efficient on offense."

Tyshon Pickett paced Bradley (3-1) with 13 points. Will Egolf chipped in 12 and Jake Eastman 11 for the Braves, who came in with a seven-game winning streak against Big East opponents.

"I thought that we tried to battle with them. We just struggled to finish in the lane," said Bradley coach Geno Ford, whose team finished 22 of 62 (35.5 percent) from the floor. "Obviously, I think we're capable of playing better, but we caught them on a really bad night. It would have taken a major effort for somebody to come in here and beat them tonight with the way they played."

South Florida held a 14-point advantage midway through the first half and led 43-26 at the break. The Bulls doubled their lead with a 21-4 run in the second half.

"We certainly played for 30 minutes our best game, and I think we caught Bradley on a little bit of an off night," South Florida coach Stan Heath said. "Part of that was the pace that we played at. We played a lot faster. We pushed the ball down the court. We had a nice balance across the board from our team."
