Cherry Bekart & Holland beat K&D Rounds 85-73

Cherry Bekart & Holland defeated defending champion K&D Rounds Landscaping 85-73 in the second game of the opening night.

Five Cherry Bekart & Holland players reached double figures and the other three players had nine points each. They broke a 36-36 halftime tie as they made 20 of 36 (55.5%) from the field. Larry Anderson of Long Beach State led the way with 14 points. Georgetown’s Jason Clark had 13 and Chace Stanback from UNLV added eleven. Yale center Greg Mangano and Jordan Taylor of Wisconsin chipped in with ten points each.

K&D Rounds Landscaping shot just 35.9% from the field and none of the eight player made half of their shots. Laron Dendy of Middle Tennessee State had 15 points and Rakim Sanders from Fairfield added 14. American’s Charles Hinkle chipped in with 11 points and Jarrod Jones from Ball State grabbed 11 rebounds.
